oh Sally how heartbreaking I wish they would have brought him inside and put him on a soft bed or blanket at least. The seniors are SPECIAL in my eyes and should be given all the respect they deserve !
Personally, I would have taken him (or any mastÃn waiting to leave this earth) into my house on a blanket/bed and trying to make his last time one earth as comfortable as possible, but I do understand, that shepherds and farmers may have a different view on this subject than I have... It may be very naturally that mastines die in the same surrounings they were born into and where the worked for all their life...
