Even though he is waiting to die, he looks great!
When this photo was taken, his head had to be lifted up... Sad He just wanted to stay asleep and 'rest forever'...
I do not know if he really was 15 years, but that is what we were told...anyway, how many mastines die of age these days...

oh Sally how heartbreaking Crying or Very sad I wish they would have brought him inside and put him on a soft bed or blanket at least. The seniors are SPECIAL in my eyes and should be given all the respect they deserve !

Personally, I would have taken him (or any mastín waiting to leave this earth) into my house on a blanket/bed and trying to make his last time one earth as comfortable as possible, but I do understand, that shepherds and farmers may have a different view on this subject than I have... It may be very naturally that mastines die in the same surrounings they were born into and where the worked for all their life...
